How to make Lip Balm (video tutorial)

I used stainless steel mini saucepan with a pouring lip which I placed on top of a bigger saucepan with 2 inches of simmering hot water to melt my bees wax. Stainless steel pans are safe and a clean way to prepare all your mixtures. I find mini saucepan with a pouring lip – are the most convenient and they don’t create any extra mess when pouring the mixture, so this is something you might also consider before making your lip balms.

Lip Balm mixture is safe to be poured in a plastic lip balm jars, fancy little glass jars, or in any stainless steel lip balm tins. You make the choice!

So, let’s begin…

Direction:

• I added 4tbsp bees wax (melt completely in a medium high heat stirring occasionally)

• 6tbsp coconut oil (stir until well incorporated)

• about 3 drops of vitamin E (stir until well incorporated)

• Turn off the heat and/or remove from heat adding 20 drops of any essential oil blend. My favorite is Lemon and Lavender essential oil blend.
• It’s way easier to stir this kind of mixture with a chopstick.
• Once everything is well incorporated, transfer the mixture into the lip balm jars or tins. Leave untouched until the mixture is solid and hard. Be creative!
