How To Write A Book

Writing a book is a marathon, not a sprint. Whether you’re aiming for a sprawling fantasy epic or a tight business manual, the process generally breaks down into three distinct phases: Planning, Drafting, and Refining.

You cannot be a writer without being a reader first.

Here’s my process of writing my book Destiny (available on my website). I also have the book available on Amazon and on Kindle.

I wanted to write. I felt the urge that I must accomplish this skill in my life. My first story that I dreamed of writing was based on true story from my grandmother’s life experience. I wanted to make it in a fiction style using real life events. I knew that my book category will be placed in mystery, thriller, historical, suspense. I loved this idea from the very beginning. So, I kept going.

My first draft wasn’t very detailed. I didn’t have all the bright explanations of events, and the smooth flow of the story. My first draft was literally an outline of different people, places and events in quick story telling.

I read my “outline” like 10 times before I started rewriting everything with much more details.

Imagine your story as if you are the director and the producer of your movie.

Some people count words of how much they already wrote. Honestly, I hated doing that. I never counted words or kept track of it every single day. That doesn’t inspire me. I don’t like when there’s a “minimum you have to write” each day. My inspiration doesn’t fall on minimum or maximum. Limit disappears when inspired. You will find yourself one day writing non-stop, the story just flows smoothly on its own, next day – nothing really comes to mind. And so on it goes. You sort of have to “catch” the moment.

Instead, set a deadline – 6 to 8 months to type your final two words “The End” will make you keep going. You will eventually find that one thing that always inspires you.

Never go back and fix your grammar, typos and etc. You will do that later.

Your mission is to give your finished idea to a Publisher, not a professional looking story outline. Focus on the idea. Publishers will do the rest of the work. That’s their job. They get paid for creating your “writing project” to a “commercial product”. They will rewrite your “idea” story so good, that you won’t belive that it was actually you who gave them the job to do.

Go outside to find inspiration.

Listen to epic music (often called “Cinematic” or “Trailer Music”—is a favorite tool for authors because it acts as a neurological and emotional shortcut to the creative “flow state.”)

Watch a movie that inspires you to write.

Take a little hike, go to the beach.

You can fill in the list.

My personal inspiration for most of my writing days was my Epic Playlist on YouTube that I created over a little time. Maybe a Playlist with Cinematic Music will benefit you too during your writing moments.

When it’s finally time to submit your finished book to a Publisher, it can get frustrating at first. Most of Traditional Publishers don’t accept any submissions without a Literary Agent. If you choose to go the Traditional route, hire a Literary Agent who will represent your book.

A Traditional Publisher is a company that buys the right to publish your book and takes on all the financial risk of producing, distributing, and marketing it. In this model, the author should never pay the publisher; instead, the publisher pays the author.

I chose to go with a Hybrid Publisher with my book Destiny.

A Hybrid Publisher is a middle-ground model that combines elements of traditional publishing and self-publishing. In this setup, the author and the publisher share the risk: the author pays an upfront fee for professional services, and the publisher provides the expertise, distribution, and a higher share of the profits (royalties).

Or you can choose a route of Self Publishing Your Book.

The steep in this route is you are now a Business Owner not a writer. You now have to think how to sell your book, be the Marketing Expert.

Remember the nominated New York Times authors? The title goes to The Best Selling Author, not The Best Writing Author. So think about it.

Every Publisher wether the Traditional or Hybrid, Self Publishing aims to sell the idea in the book. All publishers have a team of educated experts, and they each do their assigned job in order to sell the book. They compete and they are highly competitive. Will you be this competitive?!

I’m not trying to scare you or put you down in some way if you were to choose the Self Publishing route. I’m just letting you know of the difficult reality in the Publishing World. If you are ready for the headache, and new learning curves, then this option is for you.

Writing World and the Publishing World are Two Different Worlds.

Publishing World is a Business World. If you are a one time book writer, and you don’t plan to write anymore books, then Self Publishing is your best option.  You get to keep all the royalties. 100% of earnings are your! You earned it!

These are a few of main points from my experience on how to successfully finish writing a book, and to successfully publish a book. Make your decision wisely. I want you to be successful, and never be scared of anything.

Don’t you ever think, that nobody will read your story.

Our worlds population is 8.28 billion people. Eventually there will be those that will read your book and find it very interesting.

Take care of yourself and continue writing!

Skin Renewal Body Oil

I remember when I first made my own product (lip balm), I got hooked on learning and experimenting with more products.

This Body Oil is one of my favorite product I ever made. I stopped buying Body Oil products ever since I started making it myself. And it makes me want to share with you how I did it, so you can make it at home too on repeat.

Ingredients:

Rosehip Oil – Rosehip oil is often called “nature’s retinol,” and for good reason. Derived from the seeds of rose bushes (usually Rosa canina), it’s packed with vitamins, antioxidants, and essential fatty acids that do wonders for the skin barrier.

Carrot Seed Oil – “nature’s bodyguard.” It is an incredibly potent, earthy oil distilled from the dried seeds of the wild carrot plant. Carrot seed oil is famous for its “anti-aging” properties. It contains high levels of carotol, which helps rejuvenate dull skin by encouraging healthy cell turnover.

Natural fruit extracts MANGO EXTRACT / PEAR EXTRACT

Ditching the lab-made chemicals for fruit extracts isn’t just a “crunchy” trend—it’s actually backed by some pretty cool science. Fruits are essentially nature’s miniature bio-factories, producing concentrated doses of vitamins, minerals, and enzymes that our skin happens to love. No essential oils will give the product so much fresh and fruity scent than fruit extracts

Apple Seed Essential Oil / Mango Essential Oil – apple seed oil is the collagen booster, mango oil is the barrier builder.

In an empty jar pour all the ingredients:

1tb spoon – rosehip oil

1tb spoon – carrot seed oil

1 tea spoon – mango extract

1 tea spoon – pear extract

20 drops – apple seed essential oil

20 drops – mango essential oil

Mix all ingredients thoroughly and close the lid. Store it in a cool dry place.

Fruity Essential Oils –  you  can get them on Amazon, Rainbow Abby is the brand, with reasonable prices and fast delivery. Many fruity options available. You can add a few drops of these essential oils to your shampoo, hand wash, lotions, face masks, to enhance the scent and results on you skin.

Try it yourself today and ditch the commercial brands.

Treat your skin with vitamins C & A, soothe, and possibly reduce visibility of stretch marks and scars with natural ingredients all in one jar.

How Do You Handle A Fight With Your Partner?

Recently, I have been blamed for everything negative in our family life. We are almost 20 years together, and we have beautiful three children. The argument started in front of family friends. My husband went negative on our church community, and eventually he doesn’t have a “stop button”, so does his voice tone… that’s when I blurted out to stop and cut it out and not talk about it anymore!

That’s when it got so heated! He started yelling how I am disrespectful to him, and that everything is always my fault!

I mean, I understand why he thought I was disrespectful, because I asked him to stop and be quiet in front of everybody. It just got way too far and so annoying. And this situation isn’t the first time of him being so pessimistic and negative… and that everyone must agree in what he’s saying, and think how he thinks.

This all leaves me drained and empty every single time.

I researched the 20 munute reset approach. But I just don’t feel like starting a conversation soon. Planning with these “piece talks”… I don’t know…

I do know that I have to aim for “I” statements rather than “You”, but I’m just not ready yet…

It’s just incredibly exhausting. It’s one thing to disagree on a topic like church, but it’s a whole different level of hurt when a conversation turns into him “flipping” and making you the scapegoat for his life’s problems.

It’s really hard sometimes to find the middle ground.

I needed to share with this, I believe I’m not the only one here, struggling sometimes with escalating emotions and behavior.

So, however you handle these situations… how do you handle fights and these meltdowns, you can share in comments bellow…

Thanks

“extra revenue” or “fast cash” online gig… They are a TRAP!!!

I, myself am a  VICTIM of these posts like, ” 14 side hustles that make up to $1,500 of weekly revenue”… or like, “12 night “jobs” that will make you extra $500 to 1k a week”… and so on, and so on… you fill in the blanks… uh…

The only people making real money are the ones selling the dream. You end up working for way less than minimum wage once you do the math. Better to put that energy into something that actually scales.

I will be real here – literally me, just a few months ago…

“I’ve been at my laptop for six hours straight clicking through these ‘high-yield’ surveys and data entry tasks, and my dashboard says I’ve earned… $4.12? Every ‘influencer’ on my feed makes it look so easy. ‘Just three hours a week!’ ‘Passive income!’ Well, I’m doing exactly what they said, and I’m literally losing money on electricity and coffee at this point.

Now the site says I can’t even withdraw the $4 until I hit $50? So I have to spend another sixty hours just to see a penny of my own time? It’s a joke. I’m exhausted, I’m broke, and I feel like I’m being scammed in broad daylight while everyone else pretends they’re getting rich. When does the ‘quick revenue’ actually start?”

I – like a fool tried everything they suggested… I’ve put so much energy and my time into making my “side hustles” work, until to the point I got more broke, more exhausted, frustrated, angry, hungry mom of 3 children, and a wife. WHAT WAS I THINKING?!

FAST MONEY IS A SCAM

If these jobs would have worked, everyone would be doing them on the daily basis, 🙄 no need to post something if it’s ordinary, or if this really works!!! Right?

I’ve been trading my most valuable asset – TIME – for digital pennies!

The sad reality is, that the only people who are getting rich – are the ones who’s writing posts like that (driving thousands online traffic into their page), or the ones who’s selling online courses of these so called “side hustles”!!!

And we believe them… we shouldn’t be anymore! We all need to stop buying into this ****, it’s time to get back up and be smart!

It’s tough when you’re looking for a financial win and keep running into “get rich quick” dead ends. The internet is full of “side hustles” that are really just digital treadmills.

Stop chasing ‘quick weekly revenue.’ Most low-barrier online gigs are just digital treadmills—you’re running hard but staying in the same place. If a job is easy to start and promises fast cash, the payout rarely justifies the time spent. Focus on building high-value skills, not collecting digital pennies.

As a VICTIM of this SCAM, my advice to you as a friend:

Keep your job – it pays your bills, puts bread on your table, fills gas in your car.

Develop ONE skill – it can be a hobby (ex. baking, knitting, blogging), or anything you dreamed of doing  and MAYBE BRING EXTRA INCOME. Don’t try to “kill yourself” doing it best right in the first week. You will exhaust yourself and eventually give  up. Start small. Remember that new and small beginnings, grow into a BIG future. Start with posting your new skill one time a week, until you get better and better at it, make more and more of social media posts to maybe share with more audience, not just your family and friends.

This is true consistency! This process will develop the true you! Where there’s nothing to prove to anybody, but to yourself, that you can definitely master something other than your job. Just this one skill! And see it yourself into what it eventually grows into being your main income, or continuously a fun side hustle that always helps you to express yourself and bring you joy!

Take a breath and remember: your value is not measured by your bank balance. Focus on what you can control today!

Face Cleanser

LEARN HOW TO MAKE IT YOURSELF

DIY skincare is a total vibe—it’s cost-effective, customizable, and you actually know what’s going into the bottle. However, because your face is a bit more sensitive than, say, your hands, the “how” matters just as much as the “what.”

For an everyday face wash, you want something balanced: strong enough to remove the day’s grime and sweat, but gentle enough that it doesn’t leave your skin feeling tight or “squeaky” (which is actually a sign of a damaged skin barrier).

Here is a balanced method and ingredients on how to successfully make your own face cleanser:

Take an empty glass jar and start adding all these ingredients in order.

1 cup purified water

1 cup Decyl Glucoside (Optional to level up your DIY, you can substitute this ingredient with fragrance free liquid Castile Soap)

1 tb. spoon witch hazel

1/4 cups Aloe Vera Gel

1 to. spoon Pomegranate Oil

3 drops Vitamin E

1 tb. spoon Pomegranate Extract for Anti-aging (Adding fruit extracts to your DIY products is like giving your skin a concentrated shot of vitamins and antioxidants.)

50 drops of Jasmine Essential Oil (you can substitute this oil with traditional 25 drops of lemon and 25 drops of lavender)

Mix all ingredients thoroughly  and use it daily 2 times a day, morning and evening.

Beyond the sheer satisfaction of playing “mad scientist” in your bathroom, making your own cleanser offers some legitimate skin-health and lifestyle perks. Most commercial cleansers are designed for a 2-year shelf life, which means they’re often packed with more preservatives and stabilizers than actual “good” stuff.

While the initial “startup” cost for raw ingredients (like a liter of Decyl Glucoside or a bag of Kaolin clay) might seem high, the cost per ounce of the finished product is significantly lower than high-end department store brands. You’re essentially making “Luxury” skincare at “Value” prices.

To keep these benefits real, you have to be diligent. If you don’t use a preservative or distilled water, your “clean” DIY product can quickly become a “bacterial” DIY product. Freshness is a benefit, but it also means a shorter window of use!

So, you either commit to it, or you don’t. But it’s worth giving it a try. Nothing else in life will never give you that satisfactory feeling of accomplishing something in your life for such a very reasonable price.

Good luck and have fun with it!

Make Your Bug Spray

Ah, the eternal battle between humans and tiny, winged vampires. Whether you’re heading into the deep woods or just trying to survive a backyard BBQ, picking the right repellent is key.

I always thought of the idea that learning how to make a Bug Spray yourself, is a huge benefit. Our nature has all the growing plants avaliable that will help keeping these “vampires” away from us.

The most effective Essential Oils that help keeping mosquitos away are:

Eucalyptus

Lemongrass

Citronella

Teatree

Rosemary

Interesting fact: Potted rosemary plants help keep the flies away. Put a few rosemary plants around your kitchen and see the difference it makes.

Good to remember: If you’re also wearing sunscreen, apply the sunscreen first, let it dry for 15 minutes, and then apply the bug spray.

BUG SPRAY INGREDIENTS

In an empty 8 – 10 Oz glass spray bottle mix all these ingredients:

1/2 cup witch hazel

1/2 cup apple cider vinegar (optional)

20 drops citronella essential oil

20 drops lemongrass essential oil

(You can substitute these essential oils with either eucalyptus, teatree, rosemary essential oils. See what works best for you).

Shake the bottle with mixture and spray evenly on all parts of your body except eyes and mouth.

When you make it yourself, you eliminate the “mystery fragrances” and preservatives found in commercial cans. You control the purity of the carrier (like witch hazel or apple cider vinegar) and the quality of the essential oils.

Places worth visiting in Oregon

Oregon is a state defined by its diverse landscapes, ranging from the rugged Pacific coastline and temperate rainforests to towering volcanic peaks and high-desert wonders. Whether you are seeking world-class hiking, scenic drives, or unique geological formations, the state offers a vast array of natural beauty.

I compiled 7 Oregon destinations that are must see if you are traveling to Oregon. And here they are, let’s dig in…

  1. Crater Lake National Park is Oregon’s only national park and features the deepest lake in the United States, formed inside a collapsed volcano.
The water is famous for its intense blue color and incredible clarity.
Visitors can drive the 33-mile Rim Drive for spectacular views or hike down to the water’s edge at Cleetwood Cove.

Silver Falls State Park is the biggest state park in the United States.

Often called the “crown jewel” of the Oregon State Parks system for its high concentration of cascades.

Features the “Trail of Ten Falls,” a 7.2-mile loop that passes by ten distinct waterfalls.

Offers the unique experience of walking behind several massive sheets of falling water.

Smith Rock State Park is one of my favorite places to go. This place is surrounded with beautiful trails and views.

It provides a sharp contrast with its towering spires of volcanic tuff and rhyolite.
Considered the birthplace of modern American sport climbing.
Offers the “Misery Ridge” hike, which provides panoramic views of the Crooked River and the surrounding Cascades.

Moving into Central and Eastern Oregon, the landscape shifts to a high desert filled with vibrant colors and remote mountain ranges.

Painted Hills is one of the three units of the John Day Fossil Beds National Monument, famous for its colorful, striped hillsides.

  • The hills change hues with the light and moisture levels, shifting from gold and black to deep reds.
  • Short, accessible boardwalks allow visitors to get close to the delicate clay structures without damaging them.

We absolutely enjoyed exploring this unique place. It’s surrounded with different trails and it’s so panoramic for pictures.

Wallowa Mountains

Also called Little Switzerland. This place is a must see. You can stay at Wallowa Lake resort renting a cabin or reserving RV spot.

Home to high alpine lakes and jagged granite peaks. Features a gondola ride to the top of Mount Howard for views that stretch across to Idaho and Washington.

Fort Rock Museum often called a Ghost Town. Located in the high desert of Central Oregon, it preserves the history of the hardy homesteaders who tried to farm this rugged landscape.

The museum is laid out like a small village, featuring buildings moved from their original sites throughout the valley to protect them from decay. Highlights include:

The Sunset School: The last remaining of 20 pioneer schoolhouses once in the valley.
St. Rose’s Catholic Church: The only church built in the valley during the homestead era.
The General Store: Packed with period-accurate goods, from kerosene lamps to vintage farm tools.
The Belletable House: Believed to be the largest pioneer home in the valley.
The Blacksmith Shop & Land Office: Essential structures for a 1900s community.

Nearby “Must-Sees”
If you are making the trip out to the museum, consider these nearby geological wonders:
Fort Rock State Natural Area: The iconic “fortress” rock formation.
Hole-in-the-Ground: A massive volcanic explosion crater (maar).
Crack-in-the-Ground: A two-mile-long volcanic fissure you can actually hike through.

Tillamook Creamery

A massive cheese factory where you can take free tours and sample legendary Oregon-made ice cream.

Oregon’s most popular coastal attractions, offering an immersive look at the world of dairy production. Located in Tillamook, it serves as a massive visitor center where guests can witness the cheesemaking process and enjoy fresh dairy products.

If you teaveled to Oregon, what else can you add to this list? If you haven’t yet seen these places, you are missing out. Make it a one time life experience ✨️!!!

Have fun!

Almost Got Kidnapped in Cancun Mexico

It was during Spring Break. We decided to take a family vacation to Cancun Mexico to all inclusive resort for a week.

Our flight with kids was better than what we expected. We arrived to our destination safely.  We checked in, I am not going to give a name of our resort, because I don’t want to sabotage anybody to anything. This can happen in any resort, either in Mexico, or any other country. The reason why I’m writing this post, is for the awareness purposes, and to always putting safety to the highest priority.

Now, don’t get me wrong. Overall vacation was bright, fun, and beautiful.  We had a blast on the beach with our kids. I included some of the photos here to share with you. Our vacation was in March, and we really hoped for the weather to be clear and sunny. And it was. Weather was beautiful, clear, and sunny, and warm.

We did enjoy Mexican cuisine, all lemonades by the pool we could order. Our kids made friends with other kids easily, they are very social.

Now, a vacation with kids is a different type of vacation. There is a popular saying among parents: “It’s not a vacation; it’s just parenting in a different location.”
While a “solo” or “couples” vacation is usually about relaxation and recharging, a family vacation is about experience and management.

The kidnappers….

With all that said, one day, we decided to leave our two kids in Daycare area, it’s the area with fun pools, water play grounds, craft studios, mini tennis and a basketball court. I mean, everything that a kid could ever ask for.

Me and my husband decided to stay on the upper floor pool for adults only for 2 hours while kids can have all the fun at the Daycare area. Daycare area was pretty much secured, you know, you check-in, give your room number, sign, and the same protocol when checking out a kid. Parents are welcome to stay with their kids in Daycare, and that’s what we did for all of the days during our vacation. We were there with our kids, except for that one day when we left them there by themselves for 2 hours.

So, while we were staying in the pool on the upper floor, after about an hour of our stay, one guy with a mask comes over to us, and asks the names of our children. He explained that he works here in Daycare, and there are some children crying, and that he needed to get our children’s names.

And I went ahead and told him the names. What was I thinking?

He said – thank you –  and went back downstairs. My heart was pounding, I knew something isn’t right here. My husband looked at me, and said to run back downstairs and take our children out of there, and that he didn’t feel right about this dude, I mean why would he ask our children’s names?

All elevators were busy, so we took the stairs. We were running down stairs like a whirlwind. I mean I was praying, panicking, crying, and angry at myself.

When we reached the daycare area downstairs, this guy with another stranger were already checking out our kids. I ran in there and screamed that I am their mother! While we were explaining the whole situation to the staff, these two strange man disappeared. We never saw them again for the rest of our stay.

I wrote about all this, because I want you to be safe, know your surroundings,  know and recognize people who surround you, specially when you’re with your kids on the vacation. Never leave them alone in Daycare, even if it’s just 2 hours long. Our children, always need to be there where we are. That’s it!

When I think of it now, I realize that these two strangers were stocking us, knew our room stay, they knew our kids very well, and wanted to take an advantage of them while we were staying at the pool on the upper floor. How is it that we never saw them before? Now, we know better and through this experience, we are more careful and more curious.

Despite all this, this trip offered us a different kind of reward. We got to see the world through a lens that we never got to see before. Our children are much more aware of how things are around here when not being watchful and careful.

I really hope that this story won’t hinder you taking vacation trips to Mexico to all-inclusive resorts. I wrote about this, so we all can be on a watch.

And to my conclusion I will say, see the big picture.

A family vacation isn’t just a trip; it’s a transformative experience that builds a child’s identity and reinforces the family unit as a safe, adventurous, and loving team.

Traveling to Peru

I am so excited about this post. My all time desire was to share my amazing experience traveling to South America with my husband. And I DO HIGHLY recommend traveling there. This one time life experience is worth every penny and your emotions.

There was one Summer day in our new house, my husband asked me, – Alina, what do you want for your birthday?

I was looking at Machu Picchu pictures at that moment. I sighed and with a dreamy voice I said showing him my phone screen, – I want this, take me there!

Since that day, I couldn’t stop thinking about it. Every day I would read different topics particularly about this country Peru and all the historical and “mystic” places where I could possibly go and see it all with my own eyes.

After spending 2 weeks straight  researching, I started planning out our trip in advance.

Places I wanted to see: Lima, Cusco, Ollantaytambo, Machu Picchu and everything in between them.

I RECOMMEND taking a car rental in Lima, because it’s a big city and taking taxi rides may be spendy, as there are many places to go to. Central Parks, Museums, we even visited a Catholic Church,  they had a parade during our visit, and we went inside the church and spent some time during their service.

My first expression in Lima was as if I am in Spain. Buildings, architecture design. Although Peruvians are half Inkas from the old civilization.

So, this was in August. Their climate works backwards because of the equator. August is their last month of winter. Their weather was cloudy, foggy, and raining in the evenings. So sweaters was a must.

Also, be careful driving on their roads, their drivers are more aggressive, many times ignoring road rules, and keep in mind that it’s a different country and people with different mentality. So, don’t get too surprised on some awkward moments that you might encounter.

We took car trip a little further from the city, to their beach town. We spent there like half a day.

I noticed that Peruvians don’t have middle class, some either are rich, and the rest are poor. I did not see hungry children or adults. They might not have a fancy apartment to live in, but they all have enough food, and more than enough milk from Alpacas. Alpacas are their national animal that feeds them and dresses them in wool.

We took a flight ✈️ from Lima to Cusco after a few days that we reserved in advance. This flight took for about 3 hours. Cusco airport is quite small and many taxi drivers, so you will always have a ride. I DO NOT RECOMMEND getting a car rental in Cusco. Their parking spaces are very limited and it’s not worth the headache and money particularly in Cusco. So don’t do it. Take a taxi. You will save yourself more free and fun time.

Cusco was my favorite old city there. I absolutely loved the 17th and the 18th century vibe all around, wherever you go. It was absolutely amazing.

A must visit in Cusco is San Pedro Market. Endless options from street food, cultural hand made items. Amazing place to spend most of your day.

Archeological area right in the city. Yes, they allow visitors on half the area. So it’s a must visit.

Their food, and bakery, drinks are amazing. Absolutely enjoyed all of their  buffets, restaurants, street food was my favorite. Coca tea was my other favorite go to drink! Keep in mind that Coca Tea is also a natural energy drink. I didn’t start a day in Cusco without drinking this tea first!

Trip to Machu Picchu

The only way to take a trip to Machu Picchu is through a train. We bought train tickets in advance online. Buying tickets in advance can save you a lot of money. The train station is in Ollantaytambo. It takes about 2 hours to drive there from Cusco. There we took a train and headed to Machu Picchu village. Honestly, I don’t remember how long it took one way on the train. But all together with the train and taxi rides and experience the veiws of that beautiful mountain takes one whole day, just to experience Machu Picchu. So plan your trips accordingly and in advance.

The famous Machu Picchu mountain is not in the village. Don’t forget to buy tickets in that Machu Picchu village so you are allowed to enter the mountain premises to see the famous Machu Picchu.

To get to the Mountain takes about 1 hour walking up the hill (might be the best option for hiking gurus). Or you can buy bus tickets and it takes like 25 to 30 minutes to get to the mountain.

No camera can never justify the real breathtaking beauty of that nature. No matter how many pictures you take, videos you record, it just doesn’t look the same. Although I did record a short on my YouTube page.

Peru is one of those rare destinations where the reality actually lives up to the glossy magazine photos. Whether you’re there for the history, the world-class food scene, or the sheer adrenaline of the Andes, it’s a trip that stays with you.

Essential Oil – Based Cleaning Recipes

Essential oils offer powerful ways to clean your home and refresh you spaces. I love the difference that essential oils have made for me in refreshing and in my cleaning routine.

DIY home care recipes I use just have a few ingredients. I feel good about knowing exactly what I and my family is breathing and touching every single day.

Essential oils are simply some of the best smelling, natural antibacterial options for home cleaning. It’s important to use safe cleaning products that do not contain dangerous ingredients that can be found very harmful to our bodies, children and our pets.

Add oils to your laundry routine, sanitize the kitchen and fight mold in the bathroom, and making your house smelling fresh and clean.

I have  found the most effective essential oils for detoxing and cleaning your home are:

Cinnamon

Citrus oils (lemon, orange, lime)

Eucalyptus

Lemongrass

Peppermint

Tea tree

I compiled seven of my go to quick cleaning recipes here and here they are, so screenshot them, take notes or whatever works for you… hope you love them and will be continuing using these quick recipes in your home too.

Carpet Deodorizer:

1 to 2 cups of borax (depending on the area size) mix it with 12 drops of tea tree oil and 12 drops of lemongrass. Apply it evenly in your carpet and vacuum.

All -Purpose Spray:

Fill the empty spray bottle with plain warm water and mix it with 7 drops of lemon oil, 7 drops peppermint oil, 2 drops tea tree oil.

Dishwasher/Laundry Detergent:

Combine one graded bar of Castile soap, 2 cups of Borax, 2 cups of washing soda, 1 cup of baking soda, 20 drops of lavender oil, 20 drops of peppermint oil.

Mold Eliminator:

Diffuse 7 to 15 drops of tea tree oil to kill mold in the air.

Smoke Eliminator:

Fill an empty spray bottle with 4 to 7 drops of rosemary, tea tree, and eucalyptus oils and spray around the house or in smoky  areas.

Window/Mirror Cleaner:

Fill an empty spray bottle with 1 cup of water, 1 cup of vinegar, 25 drops of lemon oil.

Trashcan Refreshner:

Pour 4 drops of lemon and teatree oils on a cotton ball and put it at the bottom of the trashcan to decrease odor and detoxify the air.

You will be amazed on how many unnecessary cleaning products you can now throw away. Believe it or not, you can save a lot money. All these ingredients are very inexpensive and last for months. Most natural ingredients can be found in any grocery stores.

Try it yourself and see how many benefits it brings you and your family, and your home!
