How to make anti-bacterial wipes (video tutorial) Why make your own wipes? It will NOT contain Clorox and Homemade Wipes are more cleaner and more effective and safe on all surfaces! Disadvantages of Clorox – it can harshly irritate skin and eyes, inhaling it while cleaning for a long period of time can increase a risk of cancer, it builds up a chemical called Chloroform in the air which makes it difficult to breathe. So, with that said – let’s learn how to make our own! I like to use thick and durable paper cloths rather than just regular paper towels. These are the paper cloths I like to use, I find them very strong and effective when cleaning, and I do make a lot for ahead of time just so I have extra when I run out. But if you find something else and something more cost effective, don’t be afraid to experiment and find the ones you like the best. Now, these paper cloths are large and I CUT them in half before I start adjusting them to the container size. I CUT 5 cloths at a time, to make the process faster. You will see everything in a video I provided. You can choose any container you like, and adjust your paper cloths or towels to that container while DRY, then place inside the container after when you soaked them in the mixture. This is the container that I use, and you can search more different pretty ones, there are many different options available online or in store! For 2 sets of 25 wipes (per set), you will need: 2 cups purified water 1 cup white vinegar 1 cup 90% and up of Isopropyl (alcohol) 35 drops lavender essential oil + 15 drops lemon essential oil (or any other essential oil scent of your choice). Stir the mixture together to blend all ingredients. Use a rectangle deep platter to prepare your wipes in. When all are folded and prepared, soak your paper cloths in the mixture until every cloth is well soaked in this mixture. Now place your wipes inside the wipes container and enjoy your homemade wipes! I believe you will enjoy this process and this project will be very exciting to make it at your home, your thick and durable homemade wipes! How To Make Soy Candles (video tutorial) Why choose soy wax over beeswax and paraffin? Soy wax is a natural compound. It is a biodegradable resource and easily rinses up with plain soapy water. Soy wax candles burn longer than paraffin candles vs. beeswax candles don’t hold the scent properly and the wicks on beeswax candles often get chocked up with melted wax that makes them not burn properly – which is a huge downside. Paraffin candles are also found to be releasing toxic chemicals that are carcinogen for humans. Since I made this research and tried making so many candles with beeswax (I never tried making any with paraffin), I was somewhat disappointed and stopped making candles for some time. After some time I was passing through the candle isle at the store and almost bought a few, then I remembered that I’ve never tried to make a candle with soy wax. I placed candles that I picked back on the counter, purchased soy wax, and made a few candles at home. I was so excited with my results and candles did burn properly and they do hold up the scent very well – which is amazing! Soy candles are now one of my favorite, and I really enjoy making them at home. Always prepare you candle jars before pouring in the mixture. I chose amber glass candle jars, with regular size wicks and stickers for the wicks. It’s better to use a tall stainless steel pitcher with the pouring lip to reduce extra mess. I melted soy wax inside my stainless steel pitcher that I placed inside the simmering hot water in a bigger pot where my pitcher could fit. So, my pitcher is about 6 cups capacity in total, and I filled it all up with soy wax. It is better to mix soy wax with chop stick. It’s just cleaner that way. Mix occasionally until soy wax is completely melted. Then add any essential oil scents of your choice or candle oil fragrance. Mix and pour while the mixture is still hot. Be careful, the handle of a pitcher will be very hot, so arrange to grab it with the heat protection glove or an oven mitt. With about 6 cups of soy wax, I had a total of 3 (8oz) full candle jars filled with the mixture and a fourth jar filled to about 1/3 of a jar. So, prepare the amount of jars accordingly. Wait until the wax hardens completely before trimming the wicks with scissors. Once everything is done ✔, you can now burn your candle and enjoy the aroma therapy in your sweet home. I really enjoy making these candles as little gifts to my friends and family. Hand made products are so much more valuable! Stay tuned for amazing product tutorials…!!! Motivation for Tomorrow What’s your #1 priority tomorrow? Hey Everyone 👋, This is an interesting todays subject. As a mom of 3 children, married, with a busy life style – the priority is getting one step closer to my goal (finish blogging my book), and that means: Wakeup at 5am (I find this very productive starting my day early) Spiritual growth, Coffee, Blog (my book), lots of writing (and I enjoy it), Being a wifey to my hubby and a mommy to my kiddos and everything else in between. With a perfectionist inside of me, I do confess that it’s not always perfect and that’s ok. Things sometimes fall out of balance, and that’s where my strong ‘Why?’ comes in handy. “Why do I do what I do?” This always helps me to get back on track quickly. Making a vision board is also something I found it to be very helpful to keep me stay on the right road to ACTUALLY finish and achieve something that was planned. One step at time… Agree?… Read my blogged book here from the beginning – Destiny (part 1)
